Excuse me — is that the bell? Why, I think it is! Someone’s at the door, making a “house call.” Could it be? Yes! Huzzah! A poet! And not just any poet — it’s Dan Mummert, dropping by (back-up band in tow, no less) to take you deep into a lettuce-free salad, surrounded by Greeks in languid recline. “Relax it meant. Here, sit.” And enjoy. -CV

eloquent and calming.
we’ve been substituting pre-washed baby spinach for lettuce in our salads. i like the vitamins and minerals, but miss the crunch.
“My SALAD days,
When I was green in judgment, cold in blood,
To say as I said then! But come, away;
Get me ink and paper:
He shall have every day a several greeting,
Or I’ll unpeople Egypt.” [Cleopatra]

Antony and Cleopatra. Act i. Sc. 5.
